What is Pro Bono Service?

Pro bono service is a type of skills-based volunteering where volunteers contribute their professional skills, often providing their expertise to directly supporting a nonprofit’s internal operations, strengthening the infrastructure and capacity of the organization.

Simply put, pro bono projects are “professional services made accessible to organizations serving the public good, generally without expectation of a fee.”
While most people are familiar with pro bono legal services, this applies to other types of professional services as well.
